Industrial Light & Magic is a post-production house founded by George Lucas in 1975 so that he could create special and visual effects for Star Wars, and since then ILM has created visual effects for films such as Back To The Future, Transformers, Pirates Of The Caribbean and over 250 more films and have won 15 Oscars and 23 Sci-Tech awards for their work, and they are located in both San Francisco and Singapore. ILM is a motion picture visual effects company that makes visual and special effects for any movie. They have done allsorts of work from stereoscopic 3-D conversion, computer generated sequence and characters, integrating 2D animated characters with live-action footage, computer-generated photo-realistic hair and fur and their first full animated film produced by ILM was Rango. ILM use software and programs such as motion control, VistaVision, Ambient Occlusion, OpenEXR, REYES and many more software and programs.
